In a special session of the Town of Chili Planning Board, preliminary and final approval was granted for the rebuilding of our new church. The meeting was attended by the Rebuilding Committee, Fr Paul Bonacci, our Diocesan Liaison, along with construction manager, architect, engineer, and various parishioners.
The presentation lead by Bernie Iacovangelo, along with various members of the construction team covered most every facet of the project. It covered mundane parking lot details, the over arching process we've been undergoing, the roof lines, drainage, connection to the parish center, and code issues. Particular attention was given to the ability to provide a safe environment to all who frequent the campus while the project was undergoing.
After the presentation was complete the board asked various questions about the time line for construction, plans for additional parking, and fire marshal approval. The board in overwhelming support of the Parish of St Pius the Tenth voted unanimously to give preliminary approval and final approval with standard provisions.
With this approval we are one step closer to realizing the vision of our new parish structure at St Pius the Tenth.
